Hydraulic Engineering Construction
Despite the fact that most foreign companies exited the Russian market of maritime hydraulic engineering facilities, domestic companies are ready to step in and continue the development of this key industry.
MRTS JSC has significant experience in working in the Far North and the Arctic regions, and in extreme climatic and hydrogeological conditions, which enabled the company to continuously maintain leading positions in the construction of coastal infrastructure and hydraulic engineering facilities of any complexity.
Having its own high-tech specialized fleet, as well as a wide range of piling equipment, allows our company to be a reliable partner in projects of any complexity, and to provide high-level execution within short time frames.
MRTS JSC has come a long and very challenging way from laying underwater crossings across major rivers to the comprehensive development of maritime facilities and construction of seaports. Today, we have the experience, expertise and capability to offer our potential clients a full range of services at the highest professional level.
We rely on our own technical resources and qualified personnel, which, under all other equal conditions, enables us to deliver the most competitive financial results.
Our project management expertise entails unwavering professional attention to every phase of the project lifecycle: from planning through construction, and to the commissioning of the facility.
Securing our leading position in an increasingly competitive landscape demands full compliance with international standards for organization and performance quality, occupational safety and health, and environmental protection.
In both underwater pipeline laying and coastal infrastructure construction, MRTS JSC has demonstrated its readiness to undertake the most complex projects on a turnkey basis.
History of Hydraulic Engineering
2012 was the year that marked the beginning of the development of hydraulic engineering as the second most significant specialization for MRTS JSC.
In 2014, the company completed the construction of preparatory facilities for the “Sabetta” seaport. A berthing front of a total length of 975 meters, consisting of four berths of different functional areas, was built in extremely harsh climatic conditions of the Arctic zone to accommodate the reception of large-scale modules and auxiliary cargoes necessary for the construction of the LNG plant.
The uniqueness and complexity of this project was based on the fact that the port construction was carried out from scratch, with no existing infrastructure along the coastline.
In 2015, our company completed the construction of the root part of the Southeast Ice Protection Structure and the base of the technological overpass. Additionally, we commenced the construction of two technological LNG and gas condensate loading berths, including 12 mooring and 4 fixed-mooring piles. Furthermore, we started the construction of the deepwater part of the Southeast Ice Protection Structure and the Northwest Ice Protection Structure.
From 2012 to 2016, we sank more than 80 thousand tons of piles, we concreted about 65 thousand cubic meters, and delivered more than 1 million tons of inert materials.
By the end of 2017, as part of the completion of the construction of the large multifunctional seaport "Sabetta", the scope of completed work included the following:
- more than 110 thousand tons of sunk piles up to 50 m long;
- 130 thousand cubic meters of monolithic reinforced concrete;
- more than 1.1 million tons of inert materials.
